3 PRACTICAL STEPS TO HUMOROUSLY AVOID SHAME, USING T-BOSS OF #BBBAIJA AS A CASE STUDY

Sometimes in life, we are beaten and battered by different kind of feelings, hunger, loneliness, anger, grief among others. But I've personally observed and realized that one of the most painful feelings in this life is just a five letter word, shame. Shame has made many people desert their family and friends, shame has made many people commit suicide, shame has cost many people the friendships and opportunities  of a lifetime. Shame is a feeling that is better imagined than experienced.

LIKE FATHER LIKE SON…FAYOSE UNITES WITH OBASANJO

Politics is a phenomenon with multitudes of definition. To some it is a way of life and to another group it is a mind game. Unfortunately, an average Nigerian sees politics as a dirty and a dangerous game. For that reason, politics in this part of the world is regarded as exclusively reserved for the brave, the strong, the corny, the clever and sometimes the desperate. Apart from its fierce nature, it is also a unique kind of game, it’s a game of numbers and a game that is personality based. It however becomes beautiful and interesting when different personalities with their individual peculiarities come together to achieve one and the same goal by serving a common interest.

FRUSTRATION OR DEPRESSION? JACKIE CHAN STARS IN A PORNOGRAPHIC MOVIE LIKE AFROCANDY

It is disheartening and very sickening to hear the news that action hero, Jackie Chan could descend so low to the extent of taking part in a pornographic movie otherwise known as adult movies, which is legally declared unfit and unsafe for kids, who formed the core of his fan base. You might want to agree with me that your childhood could be termed ‘incomplete’ if you never watched movies or at least a movie by the Legendary Jackie Chan. Just hearing his name made our bodies shiver because we knew we were in for a swell time. We loved everything about him from his funny and super smart moves to the countless facial expressions, his agility, his story line and ultimately his personality.

AKPORORO CONFIRMED THAT NIGERIAN COMEDIANS ARE FETISH

The entertainment industry in Nigeria can never be complete without a mention of the Stand-Up comedy industry. Humour merchandise has proven in the last two decades or thereabout that it has all it takes to rival other industries in the entertainment sector of our economy. Nigerian stand-up comedians stand tall among their peers on the continent and no one can dispute the fact that the practitioners of this profession are enviably successful.

ALI BABA DETHRONES DANGOTE TO BECOME THE RICHEST MAN IN NIGERIA

Truly there is nothing with a beginning without an end, no matter how long you rule or reign, your reign will be over one day. Finally, facts and figures have emerged to show that an unexpected and unbelievable person has dethroned Aliko Dangote, to become the richest man in Nigeria. For a very long time now, Dangote has consistently retained the title of the richest man in Nigeria, while the newly emerged richest man in Nigeria has been a king on his own lane for decades as well. Ali Baba, the humour merchant, who is one of the pioneers of Stand-up Comedy in Nigeria, and is widely credited with the redefinition and the rebranding of the erstwhile unattractive trade, is now the richest man in Nigeria.

UNBELIEVABLE…FUNKE AKINDELE AND YAW OF WAZOBIA FM FINALLY EXPOSED!

If you claim you don’t know Steve Onu you might be reluctantly pardoned but if you do not know Yaw of Wazobia FM, Funke Akindele or Jenifa, irrespective of where you reside within Nigeria, then your Citizenship of Nigeria should be queried, questioned and investigated. Actually you may not be able to identify them from a crowd but the face must definitely strike you if you are privileged to come across them one on one or you come across their sweet faces on a bill board or on the internet, just the same way their names are bound to ring a bell, when you come across them if you are truly Nigerian.

HE MIGHT BE AN ANGEL, IF HE LEARN TO HIDE HIS FANGS, ETCETERA

If there is anyone in this country that has in recent times discovered a very potent means of pinching people, especially Nigerian celebrities, where it hurts most is a dude whose parents named Pascal Uche Ejikeme. He is one dude with a thousand names, to Olisa Adibua of Beat FM, he is a nobody and a failed artiste, to Freeze of Cool FM, he is a moron, a fool, a shameless waste….and what else?...an old fool. (That gives you clue that Uncle Pascal is not a small boy, for Daddy Freeze to have referred to him as “Old”). To an average Nigerian, he is a talkative, a trouble maker and sometimes an attention seeker, but he however calls himself ETCETERA. Ironically Etcetera, usually shortened as etc means and so on and so forth, which could be interpreted to mean his name is open ended, and anyone can freely add their choice.

JULIUS AGWU COULD BE DREAMING, BUT NOT NECESSARILY A NIGHTMARE

I’m very sure it came to many of us as a rude shock to see our own Julius the “Genius Agwu” graphically declaring his intention on social media to become the next governor of one of the most politically troubled state in the outgoing dispensation in Nigeria, the Rivers State.  It would have been too much of a shock for us, if this were to happen some 8 years back, but recent happenings seems to have created a soft landing for it, with some Nigerian entertainers recently discovering politics as a potent means of giving back to the society, and of course getting their own bite of the national cake……..before nko?

THE “J” IN JAPHET OMOJUWA IS THE “I” IN LINDA IKEJI

Japhet Omojuwa and Linda Ikeji are names that cannot be strange to you if you are not an alien to blogosphere, especially the Nigerian space. While Omojuwa is popular in the world of the elites who are politically minded and interested in activism, Linda or Lindodo, as she is fondly called, is famous among elites who are entertainment inclined and particularly interested in Showbiz. Apart from the social media and elites similarities, these two sweet personalities are living enviably and ruling their world, doing that which they obviously love to do, doing it so well that an onlooker will bet it with his or her life that there is no big deal in what they do.

THE PLACE OF HUMOUR IN RAMADAN

Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic calendar and it is considered as the most sacred. Hence it is a very important period in the life of a Moslem faithful as it is one of the 5 pillars of Islam. Moslems worldwide revere this month as a month of fasting. It usually lasts for a period of 29 to 30 days based on the visual sighting of the crescent moon. Ramadan is a mandatory injunction for adult Moslems, excluding sick people (physically and mentally), travelers, pregnant women, diabetes patients and menstruating women (Quran 2:185).

HUMOUR: THE INITIALS OF HUMANITY

Initials,  according  to  Oxford  Advanced  Learner ’ s Dictionary has  as  one  of  its  meanings  the first  letters of  all  of  a  person’s  names.  A  name  serves  a  major  purpose  of  identification, so  simplifying  it  equally  means  a  simplified  means  of  identification,  based  on  an  individual’s peculiarity. An initial is therefore an identifier based on   individual peculiarities. It  singles  out  or  narrows   down  a  search  of  a  particular  person  regardless  of  the  close resemblance to any other.

7 ROLES OF HUMOUR IN AN ORGANIZATION

A collection of people without a purpose, goals, objectives or target is just a playgroup and cannot be rightly qualified as an organization. What makes an organization what it is, is its set aims and objectives, as well as the goals to which it is committed. Over the years, it has become a trite knowledge that certain specific factors constitute the core values of any given organization and these values guide the actions and policies of the organization towards the realization of their set goals.
